Thank you so much for taking time to read my blog! I hope you stick around and please reach out if you have any questions.
My favorite weddings are those where the couple’s love story was meant to be—that the universe didn’t just align, but that they were destined to be together. That’s how Ashlyn and Jake’s life together began.
When Jake joined the military, he didn’t think he would get stationed where he was from. His hometown is Fayetteville, but he thought his Army adventure would take him to a different location. However, fate had other plans. He was stationed at Fort Bragg, and luckily for him, because he soon met Ashlyn, they fell in love, and the rest is history.
Their wedding day was absolutely beautiful, and they took their vows surrounded by their closest friends and family at downtown Fayetteville’s First Baptist Church. The bridesmaids wore a gorgeous, feminine lilac color—the perfect choice for a charming spring wedding, and the groomsmen made the day even more memorable with their great spirits. April 9th was a windy day, but I like to think that made for flawless photos. Just look at the way it carried her veil!
I’m so thankful I got to be a part of their story, from their engagement photos to now. Photographing their sweet, playful love and incredible chemistry was a rewarding reminder to embrace those who matter most. When the couple drove away in Ashlyn’s grandpa’s classic car, you knew they were driving into a life worth celebrating together.
And isn’t that what it’s all about?
Congratulations, Ashlyn and Jake! I wish you years and years of incredible memories together!

One of my favorite things to do when I was a kid was take photos and document my life. I received a disposable camera when I was 8 and always had one after.
